A Games and Sports Committee has been constituted, comprising both faculty members and student representatives, to actively support and coordinate the activities of the Department of Physical Education. The committee plays a key role in planning, organizing, and promoting various sports events and initiatives within the college.

Functions of the Committee (Objectives and Responsibilities)

To develop and maintain sports infrastructure and facilities within the college.

To procure required sports and fitness equipment to support training and competitions.

To prepare and monitor sports teams for participation in inter-college, inter-university, state, and national-level tournaments.

To create awareness about the importance of physical activity and sports, and to motivate students to participate regularly.

To organize intra-college and inter-college competitions, and to encourage student involvement in the organization and execution of both indoor and outdoor sports events.

To maintain comprehensive records of student participation and achievements in sports and games at various levels — within the college, university, and beyond (regional, state, and national).

To submit an annual report detailing sports activities, events, achievements, and the budget allocated and utilized during the academic year.

Management of the Committee

The Games and Sports Committee is structured to ensure inclusive representation and effective coordination. The composition of the committee is as follows:

One senior faculty member designated as the Coordinator.

One faculty member from each department serving as a Committee Member.

One or two students from each department who have demonstrated interest in or have actively participated in sports and games, serving as Student Members.
